½
Day Sea Kayaking in Puerto Natales
|
|
The kayak guide will pick you up at your hotel, where
your personal gear will be passed out. Then the transport
will take you to the Puerto Natales waterfront, where
you will be given your kayak and listen to an instructive
talk on safety and how to paddle a sea kayak.
We will enjoy the scenic landscape surrounding the city
of Puerto Natales, while observing colonies of cormorants,
swans and flamingos up close. During our trip, we will
also visit the fishermen’s pier and see many small boats,
making their journey from the fjords to the open sea.
It is also possible to visit the Historical Museum of
Puerto Bories, where the economic growth of the town started.
This is a perfect half-day trip option to enjoy nature
and the local environment. At the end of the excursion,
we return back to the Puerto Natales coast, where a transfer
will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Requirements |
It is not necessary to have paddling experience.
Your guide takes the time necessary to ensure that you learn
all the most important technical aspects of paddling and how
to stay safe on the water.
You must show a certificate of
travel insurance at the time of booking.
 |
Note |
Please be aware that sea kayaking
depends entirely on the Patagonia weather. The guide will
evaluate current weather conditions, before heading out on
the water. At this point your guide may decide to shorten
the trip, suspend its start or cancel it altogether. If the
trip is suspended, your guide will evaluate alternative activities
such as hiking, horseback riding or fishing—depending on the
geographic location of the group.
