This excursion to Torres del Paine National Park
allows you to experience the scenic beauty of the
region. Early in the morning, we pick you up from
your accommodation in Puerto Natales. The tour starts
with a visit to Milodón Cave Natural Monument
(approximately 1 hour, entrance optional).
Next we head to Torres del Paine National Park,
we got to Lake Grey, where we do check in for navigation.
Then we walk to the beach of Lake Grey ( ice floes
sector ) where we will walk about 30 min approx.
At this point we board a comfortable boat and travel
to Glacier Grey, reaching the immense wall of ice
about 40 meters high with an enchanting mix of blues
that never ceases to impress. Throughout the tour
we sidle up close to icebergs that rise meters above
the boat, transporting us to a world outside of
reality. This tour is the best option to check out
the front of Glacier Grey.
After 3 hrs sailing on Lake Grey , we begin the
return to Puerto Natales , visiting the best lookout
points along the way. Lookout points include: Sarmiento
Lake; Laguna Amarga (with a classic view of the
Towers); Nordenskjöld (with a classic view
of the Paine Horns); Salto Grande (a big waterfall
that connects Lake Nordenskjöld with Lake Pehoe);
Weber Bridge; the shore of Grey Lake to see its
many icebergs.
The diverse animal world we witness during the
day is also sure to fascinate. We will see herds
of guanaco and rheas. And with a little luck, we
may see foxes, pumas and the majestic condor.
No doubt this tour is the best option for spotting
the front of the Grey Glacier and Torres del Paine
National Park in one day
