Navigation to Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers

Glaciar Serrano

At 07:30 in the morning, we meet at the office in the Puerto Natales Center. We then take a transfer to Puerto Bories, where we will board the boat 21 de Mayo.
During the voyage, we enjoy the beauty of the fjords and observe cormorant and sea lion colonies as well as condors. After about three hours we arrive to Balmaceda Glacier, which pours from the summit of Mount Balmaceda into the sea. Here, we have plenty of time to enjoy the view from the boat and snap some pictures.
About 20 minutes later we arrive to Puerto Toro, gateway to Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. Here we walk to the viewpoint of Glacier Serrano. If we are lucky, we will be able to contemplate the blocks of ice calving and splashing into the lagoon below.
Back at the dock, we reboard the boat to head back to Puerto Natales. On the way back, we stop at Estancia Perales for lunch and enjoy a Patagonian lamb barbecue. We then continue sailing through the fjord, arriving to Puerto Natales around 18:00 hours. Transfer from the Puerto Bories to Puerto Natales Center.
Start: Puerto Natales
End: Puerto Natales
Duration: About 10-11 hours
